HEY! I'M HAYLEY

I’m the face behind Honeycomb Health and the signature program “Hormone Mastery Blueprint.” I’m just an average girl who grew up in an average household in a cold and snowy town just outside of the Canadian city of Calgary Alberta, Canada. Growing up in a small town had its challenges and I found myself mixing with the wrong crowd at the later end of my highschool years. I gravitated towards those who didn’t care about themselves because, well, I felt the same about me.

Things had to get better

Somewhere along my eternal journey, I picked up this belief that I was unworthy, unlovable and certainly by no means AT ALL attractive. I started to abuse my body with alcohol, drugs and 7-11 dinners. I hopped from dead end job to dead end job for years trying to avoid the inevitable healing that needed to take place inside of me. In 2010, I hit rock bottom. I was nearly 50 lbs overweight, I couldn’t cope with the emotional anger that was buried so deep inside of me. I cried myself to sleep most nights, drank away my weekends and felt completely and utterly lost. It was time for a change, I just wasn’t ready to face it yet.

So, I took a year long journey to cleanse all the “garbage” out of my life with the goal to just change the shape of my body.

Spoiler alert: It didn’t work. So, I was back to square one. I tried this diet and that diet. You name it, I’ve most likely done it. I was so desperate to just change the shape of my body that I was willing to try ANYTHING to get me there.

What changed?

Then I found Vipassana, the gem that changed it all for me. This meditation practice is known as the truest form of wisdom or insight in its purest form as taught by the Buddha. Seriously potent shit! This is when I finally started to understand the deeper layers of health and began uncovering the truth for myself.

I got so deep into this medicine that I’ve now participated in over 10 silent retreats, all of which were 10 days in length, got a certification in nutrition and group coaching and am now teaching others how to get to the root cause of their hormonal imbalances and start actually THRIVING! I also cleaned up my diet, started meditating and began lifting weights.

Finally… I was starting to see some progress. My emotional state was becoming much more stable, I was changing the shape of my body and began to feel like I was in control.

My PMS was gone, my body shape and strength desired, my emotional state is stable and mental health is top notch. My hair is now healthy, my skin is glowing and I’m fucking happy!

What sets me apart?

Each coach has their own unique way of collaborating with clients to get results and as HCH grows, each coach will have varying approaches that are unique to them. However, there are a few core coaching styles that separate us from others…

Active listening
This skill, as a coach, is to listen more and speak less. Allow clients to talk about what is present for them, ensure that we truly hear them and take in other communication cues like body language and tone of voice. Being completely present in the coaching conversation creates a strong client-coach relationship and boosts confidence in the clients to come to their own conclusions and solutions.
Evidence based decision making
HCH coaches always start with the fundamentals of health, then, as the coaching agreement progresses, all ‘next-step’ decisions are based only on what evidence is showing to be true for that client. NOT what “should” be done next according to the proper progression of the average person's health goals.
Honesty and integrity
Minimising your intake of refined sugar is a healthy practice we can all get behind which is why HCH coaches approach conversations with a no-bs type of attitude. With a deep practice of honest conversations, truthful approaches and realistic guidelines, clients will feel more supported and allow deeper trust and connection which ultimately leads to greater success!
